(i) Applications are also accepted from candidates who will obtain their degree by the September 2024 examination period. In the event that a candidate has not yet completed their studies, a solemn declaration (pursuant to Law 1599/86) is required, stating that—should they be admitted to the Program—their enrollment is conditional upon obtaining their degree by the September 2024 examination period.
(ii) Candidates holding a first-cycle degree from foreign institutions must submit said degree so that it may be verified whether the foreign institution is included in the National Registry of Recognized Foreign Institutions and the National Registry of Degree Types from Recognized Foreign Institutions. Please note that if the Greek territory is certified as the place of study (or part thereof), the degree is not recognized, unless the portion of studies undertaken within Greek territory took place at a public Higher Education Institution (HEI).

5. Certificate of proficiency in English (Level B2 or higher). A clear photocopy certified by a lawyer or the issuing authority is acceptable.
Examples include: Cambridge or Michigan Proficiency, Certificate in Advanced English (CAE), TOEFL (iBT), IELTS, TOEIC, State Certificate of Language Proficiency, and other certificates accepted by ASEP.
6. Two letters of recommendation, preferably from members of the academic community
7. A recent ID/passport-style photograph
8. Photocopy of both sides of the police-issued ID card
9. A solemn declaration (via the service https://www.gov.gr/ipiresies/polites-kai-kathemerinoteta/psephiaka-eggrapha-gov-gr/ekdose-upeuthunes-deloses) in which the candidate declares that the supporting documents submitted and filed in their application dossier are authentic.
The aforementioned supporting documents must be submitted electronically via the website https://www.msc-hem.gr/ilektroniki-aitisi/ or via email to hem@unipi.gr, or filed with the Secretariat of the Department of Economics, 80 Karaoli & Dimitriou St., 18534 Piraeus (1st floor, office 110).
Interested parties are invited to submit their application by 18/09/2026.
The total tuition fees for the MSc Program in Health Economics and Management for the 2026-2027 academic cycle amount to €6,000, specifically €2,000 per semester. Furthermore, candidates accepted into the Program are required to pay a pre-registration fee of €500 within 20 days of being notified of their acceptance. This pre-registration fee is subsequently deducted from the tuition fees for the first semester.
- Academic performance criterion: holding a grade equal to or higher than seven and a half (7.5/10) at the undergraduate level,
- Financial criterion: the candidate's income (individual or family, as applicable) falls below the national median income. Income thresholds are specified annually via a Ministerial Decision published by the Ministry of Education.
Under this legislation, a tuition fee waiver may be granted to a maximum of 30% of the students enrolled in the Program. Therefore, during the final registration period (October), interested students are required to submit an application for a tuition fee waiver, along with the necessary supporting documents. Subsequently, these applications are evaluated by the competent committee, which determines their validity. Applications meeting the waiver criteria are then ranked based on income criteria.

Note: Please be advised that, in accordance with current legislation, students receiving a scholarship from another source are not eligible for a tuition fee waiver. This implies that:
-If you receive a scholarship for the postgraduate program from another source (e.g., a foundation such as the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY), or the Onassis, Niarchos, or Bodossaki Foundations, etc.), you cannot apply for a tuition fee waiver. Should you be granted a waiver and subsequently receive (and accept) another scholarship for your postgraduate studies in the Program, you will forfeit the right to the waiver, and you will be required to pay the tuition fees retroactively.
-Students who have received a scholarship (tuition fee waiver) based on financial criteria are ineligible for an excellence scholarship. If their academic performance ranks them among the top students of their cohort, they will receive only the relevant Excellence Award, without the accompanying monetary prize.
